I would like to try it out, but at startup I get message box: "An error occured while preparing database folder". I'm using Windows 7, 64bit.

Ref previous comment - Just had to "run as administrator" first time :)
First impression is that it looks like just what I need. In addition, I really like when a program let me export my data to text (xml).

I tested jCC on several computers running Windows XP and Windows Seven and I have never encountered this problem.
A question: did you customize the system fonts?

No, I haven't.
It's windows 7 64

I have no explanation for it, I'm sorry :(
I'll try to do some other tests...

Love your application...is there a way you could add the ability to have nested folders? For example: PHP -> Loops -> For Loop (so for loop is a child of Loops and Loops is a child of the parent folder PHP)

Thank you! :)
At present there's no way to have nested folders but many users ask me for this feature and it will be added in a future version of jCC. Stay tuned!

February 9, 2011 at 8:57 AM
Yes, you can specify where to save snippets using File->Change Database Location... menu :)

You can try to run jCC as admin (first time only), sorry for the inconvenience!

Hi Alessandro,
I truly love Your app.
But it looks like I have a similar problem like one guy before :( On W7-64 fonts are really small.
But on my mac everything works great - sharing database through dropbox is a very nice trick :)
cheers,
G

Hi! I also got the database-folder error. Just had to start JCC as Admin first time. System: Vista, 32Bit.
So far thanks for a nice piece of software! Missing only one small thing: Creating own categories would be fine.
E.g.: I would need the categories CSS and JQuery. And some snippets for CMS and Shopping-Systems... Internet would'nt fit.

HPreckel >> Missing only one small thing: Creating own categories would be fine.
When you create a new snippet you can write any category you want: if your new category doesn't exist, it will be created :)

Hi Alessandro,
Just started using the app and love it so far!
I wanted to drop in a quick note for anyone who might want to know:
If you want to delete a category, currently the only way seems to be to delete all the snippets under that category (i.e. not currently possible to right-click on a category name and delete). On restarting the app, the category also then gets removed from the dropdown in the "snippet" window.
Fab app btw - is there a possibility for you to open-source it? :)

Don't work in windows 7.

I try with the administrator privileges, but is the same:
An error ocurred while preparing database folder.
Click OK and try again.

I'm experiencing same problem - small font on Win7 x64. But your software is really great. Thanks for it.
